(16) Description.
The purpose is to establish a F138-GE-100 (CF6-802C-L1F military variant engine) services contract to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), General Electric (GE) for Sustaining Engineering (SE), Program Management (PM), and Field Service Representatives (FSR) base support for the C-5M aircraft mission. The Contractor shall furnish to the United States Air Force (USAF) the labor and knowledge necessary to accomplish SE functions (including trending, diagnostics and analysis), logistics, PM, warranty administration, and FSRs to support USAF F138 bases: Dover Air Force Base (AFB) DE, Lackland AFB TX, Robins AFB GA, Tinker AFB OK, Travis AFB CA, Scott AFB IL, and Westover Air Reserve Base (ARB) MA. Additionally, FSR support may be required for any F138 en-route efforts as directed by the Government Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO) and Government F138 Cognizant Engineering Authority (CEA).
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
