Real-time Genetic Monitoring for the Central Valle

Background
The Bureau of Reclamation operates the Central Valley Project (CVP) in coordination with the State Water Project (SWP), which impacts water quality, fish distribution, and aquatic habitats in the San Francisco Bay-Delta. The National Marine Fisheries Service has identified stressors that jeopardize endangered salmon species. This contract aims to acquire services for genetic monitoring of Chinook Salmon to improve stock identification and management actions.

Work Details
The contractor will provide services to genetically identify Chinook Salmon collected from the CVP salvage facility and other monitoring locations. Key tasks include:

1) Sample processing and genetic analysis according to specified tasks;
2) RapidID processing labor for timely genetic identification;
3) Ensuring accurate juvenile production estimates based on genetic data.

The contractor must demonstrate technical ability, timely sample collection, and provide a detailed price breakdown for all services.

Period of Performance
Base Period: October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2026; with four optional periods extending annually through September 30, 2030.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Central Valley Project salvage facilities located in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta.
