EPA - Metals, Minerals, Energy Regulatory Support - MRAS

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), through the General Services Administration (GSA), is conducting market research to identify companies capable of supporting various components of the Clean Air Act (CAA) and environmental regulation development. This Request for Information (RFI) seeks to gather insights from potential contractors who can contribute to the EPA's mission of reducing air pollution and enhancing air quality standards. The focus is primarily on developing, modifying, evaluating, and utilizing air quality test methods, as well as characterizing industrial emission sources.

The EPA's goals under this initiative include supporting the development of Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT) standards, evaluating air pollution emission control systems, and gathering environmental data for analysis. Additionally, there is a significant emphasis on providing support for studies and guidance preparation within sectors like metals, minerals, and energy production. The agency aims to address risks disproportionately affecting specific subpopulations and geographic areas by integrating its air toxics program into regulatory frameworks.

To achieve these objectives, interested companies are encouraged to submit a technical capability statement that aligns with the requirements outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). This will help demonstrate their ability to support EPA's regulatory programs focused on technology-based standards for major and area sources. The contract will also cover residual risk standards for MACT-regulated emissions from stationary sources.

This RFI serves as a preliminary step in identifying potential partners who can assist in achieving EPA's strategic goals related to air quality improvement.
