Employee Chair Massage Services at Jesse Brown VAMC and CBOC Locations   3

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this solicitation for Employee Chair Massage Services at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center and its Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs).

The goal of this contract is to enhance employee well-being by providing on-site chair massage services, which have been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and physical discomfort among employees.

The Jesse Brown Employee Whole Health Program has previously contracted with a corporate massage vendor for these services, which have been positively received by staff.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide on-site chair massage services to employees at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center and its CBOCs for forty-two weeks each year.

Specific requirements include:
- One licensed and insured massage therapist on-site for an average of five hours per day, one day per week.
- Massages will be 15-20 minutes in duration and performed with clients fully clothed.
- The contractor must supply all necessary equipment including a massage chair, music, aromatherapy supplies, and cleaning materials.
- Therapists must adhere to COVID-19 protocols as defined by public health regulations.
- Services may be scheduled during standard business hours or after hours to accommodate various employee shifts.
- The contractor must have at least five years of experience providing similar chair massage services.

Period of Performance
Base Year: September 30, 2024 – September 29, 2025; Option Year One: September 30, 2025 – September 29, 2026; Option Year Two: September 30, 2026 – September 29, 2027; Option Year Three: September 30, 2027 – September 29, 2028; Option Year Four: September 30, 2028 – September 29, 2029.

Place of Performance
Services will primarily be performed at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center located at 820 S. Damen Ave., Chicago, IL.

- Community Resource & Referral Center (2750 W. Roosevelt Rd., Chicago)
- Lakeside Clinic (211 E. Ontario St., Chicago)
- Auburn Gresham Clinic (7731 S. Halsted St., Chicago)
- Chicago Heights Clinic (30 E. 15th Street, Chicago Heights)
- Adam Benjamin Jr. Outpatient Clinic (9301 Madison Street, Crown Point, IN).
