VA Maryland Healthcare System (VAMHCS) has an ongoing requirement for the pickup, setup, delivery, repair, install, infection control, storage, sanitization, andpatient training/instruction in-the-use of Government-owned Durable Medical Equipment (DME). The Contractor shall develop mechanisms and methods to register complaints, resolve emergencies, issue approval of Patient Rights and Responsibilities, and provide pertinent documentation of performing all tasks as identified herein. The Contractor shall furnish all storage, labor, transportation and equipment required to provide durable medical equipment to eligible beneficiaries within the geographical jurisdiction and Primary Service Area ofthe VA Maryland Health Care System (VAMHCS), which includes VA Medical Centers located in Baltimore, Loch Raven and Perry Point, MD. All work performed will be in accordance with The Joint Commission (TJC).

This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside.
The VA intends to award a 5 year IDIQ contract for DME services.
Period of Performance: January 01, 2025 through December 31, 2029.

Background
The VA Maryland Healthcare System (VAMHCS) is seeking to fulfill an ongoing requirement for Durable Medical Equipment (DME) services, which includes the pickup, setup, delivery, repair, installation, infection control, storage, sanitization, and patient training in the use of government-owned DME.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive necessary medical equipment and services in a timely and efficient manner. The contract will be awarded as a 5-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract and is set aside for small businesses.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide the following services:
1. Pickup, setup, delivery, repair, installation, infection control, storage, sanitization of government-owned DME.
2. Develop mechanisms to register complaints and resolve emergencies.
3. Issue approval of Patient Rights and Responsibilities.
4. Provide documentation of all tasks performed.
5. Furnish all necessary storage, labor, transportation, and equipment to deliver DME to eligible beneficiaries within VAMHCS's jurisdiction.
6. Maintain compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards.
7. Ensure that all personnel are trained and knowledgeable about the equipment being provided.
8. Implement a quality assurance program to monitor and evaluate patient care quality.
9. Maintain a designated area for contaminated equipment handling and ensure proper infection control measures are in place.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will be from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2029.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the geographical jurisdiction of the VA Maryland Healthcare System (VAMHCS), which includes VA Medical Centers located in Baltimore, Loch Raven, and Perry Point, MD.
