Dover AFB Lifeguard and Pool Services

Background
The 436 Contracting Squadron at Dover AFB, DE is seeking to identify responsible small business concerns for a potential competitive small business set-aside service contract. The goal of this contract is to provide necessary lifeguard services to the 436 Force Support Squadron, ensuring safety and compliance with Air Force Aquatics rules and regulations at the Dover Outdoor Pool.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing full services of lifeguard staffing and supervision seven days per week at the Dover Outdoor Pool. Primary duties include monitoring activities to prevent accidents, warning swimmers of hazards, maintaining order on the pool deck, intervening in critical situations, rescuing swimmers in danger, administering CPR and First Aid as needed, following emergency action plans, notifying the Contracting Officer Representative of any incidents, participating in physical training and in-service training, ensuring proper supervision of recreational swimmers, and completing a swimming distance of no fewer than 500 meters per duty day.

Secondary duties involve providing general information to patrons, attending the front desk, inspecting facilities for cleanliness and safety hazards, checking safety equipment and supplies, issuing equipment such as lifejackets and wristbands, determining chlorine content and pH values of the water, completing required chemical check paperwork, and securing the facility after closing.

The contract will be performed from 20 May 2025 to 30 September 2025.
