Description

The Department of Justice (DOJ), through the General Services Administration (GSA), is conducting market research to enhance its inventory management capabilities. The focus of this initiative is on Unicor, a component within the DOJ, which seeks to implement an integrated barcoding and scanning solution compatible with its SAP systems. This effort aligns with Unicor's goal to streamline inventory processes across its numerous locations in the United States.

The scope of work involves developing a comprehensive solution that integrates seamlessly with Unicor's existing SAP S/4 HANA system, version 2022, with plans to upgrade to version 2023 SP 3. The project encompasses critical inventory management functions such as Goods Receipt, Goods Issue, Store Location Transfers, and Delivery Creation. To achieve this, Unicor requires a gap analysis and recommendations for a turn-key solution that includes both hardware and software components manufactured in the United States.

Unicor's implementation strategy includes a pilot phase at two locations: FCI Cumberland in Maryland and FCC Allenwood in Pennsylvania. Post-pilot success will lead to broader deployment across approximately 50 sites nationwide. The solution must support common warehousing transactions like MIGO, CO27, MB52, MI01/02/04/05/11, VL01N, and VL10C using handheld scanners. Additionally, mobile and stationary barcode label printers are essential components of the proposed system.
