The purpose of this Special Notice is to provide early notification of an upcoming Virtual Reverse Industry Day regarding Connected Care Product Catalog.

Please join the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Procurement, Acquisition and Logistics (OPAL) Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC) for a virtual Reverse Industry Day on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, from 1:00pm - 3:00pm/ET. The two-hour industry-led discussion will be in collaboration with the Office of Connected Care (OCC).

The SAC intends to gain a greater understanding of common industry practices, increase industry's ability to bid on and deliver innovation, and the factors that influence a company's price to win strategy. The discussion aims to hear perspectives, conflicts of interest, price realism, and more to assist the Government in developing a new acquisition strategy to procure these items, while maximizing small business participation.

This Reverse Industry Day welcomes and encourages all socio-economic categories to attend to provide insight to the Government.

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Procurement, Acquisition and Logistics (OPAL) Strategic Acquisition Center (SAC) is hosting a Virtual Reverse Industry Day to enhance understanding of industry practices and improve the procurement process for Connected Care products.

The goal is to gather insights from various socio-economic categories to assist in developing a new acquisition strategy while maximizing small business participation.

Work Details
The Connected Care Product Catalog (CCPC) includes a range of products necessary for the VA’s Connected Care technology network, which supports healthcare delivery through electronic information and telecommunications technologies.

Key items include: clinical video equipment, software, store and forward technologies, web and mobile health applications, software-as-a-service (SaaS) technologies, commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products, mobile medical devices, peripherals, wearables, remote patient monitoring technologies, online health portals, and future connected care technologies.

The CCPC procurement will supply these products to VHA facilities across the United States and its territories. The expected contract value is not to exceed $500 million.

Five Years after contract award.
