Work Details
Contractors are required to provide a price for a reportable patient result which encompasses all costs associated with equipment use, reagents, quality controls, consumables, parts, accessories, and any other necessary items for proper operation. Key tasks include:
- Providing all reagents, calibrators, controls, consumable/disposable items necessary for the operation of the equipment.
- Ensuring that no less than 98% of reagent packs require no operator intervention.
- Delivering consumable supplies within 24 hours upon verbal order if found defective or unsuitable.
- Maintaining a continuously stocked inventory of necessary materials on government-provided space.
- Performing validation studies including precision, method comparison, accuracy verification, linearity checks, calibration verification, and sensitivity/specificity determination at no cost to the government.
- Providing emergency equipment repair and preventative maintenance services at no cost during operational hours with a maximum response time of 24 hours.
- Offering upgrades to both hardware and software as they become commercially available without additional charges.
