Description

The General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the U.S. Army, is conducting market research to identify potential contractors for a non-personnel services contract. The primary goal of this contract is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of elevators at Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona. This initiative aims to uphold high safety standards and operational reliability for the elevators within this military installation, which is located approximately 25 miles from the City of Yuma.

The scope of work under this contract includes comprehensive monthly maintenance services, annual certification, and emergency repair services for three passenger elevators located in various facilities at Yuma Proving Ground. These facilities include The Roc, Department of Public Works, and Support Maintenance Facility Kofa. Each elevator has specific requirements based on its manufacturer and capacity, ranging from 2000 lbs to 4000 lbs with Hydro Electric systems manufactured by Montgomery and Otis.

Contractors will be responsible for providing all necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items required to perform these services effectively. They must adhere strictly to the latest specifications set by the State of Arizona and relevant federal regulations such as ANSI A.17.1 standards and OSHA guidelines. Additionally, best commercial practices should be applied throughout all maintenance tasks to ensure that all safety protocols are met consistently.

This contract emphasizes a high level of accountability from contractors who will manage their workforce independently without direct supervision from government personnel. By doing so, it ensures that service providers remain solely accountable to their contractor while maintaining responsibility towards fulfilling government requirements efficiently.
