Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service Small Business Indian Firm Virtual Industry Day

The Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service (IHS) will be hosting a Virtual Industry Day on Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm for Small Business Indian Firms (SBIF) and/or Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises.

The Industry Day will focus on the mission of the Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service, the Buy Indian Act and how small business indian firms can obtain and retain federal contracts through our federal procurement process. Guest presenters include representatives from:

• National Center American Indian PTAC New Mexico / Southwest Region
• Small Business Administration - New Mexico District Office
• General Services Administration (GSA)
• UNICOR (Federal Prison Industries)

The purpose of the Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service Industry Day is to provide small business indian firms an opportunity to obtain a better understanding of our procurement needs and market their relevant capabilities to the Acquistion Team (CORs, Buyers, p-cardholders) of the Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service.

The goal of the Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service Industry Day is to provide small business indian firms an ability to:

• Incorporate small business indian firm comments into the ABQ Area Indian Health Service solicitation development and procurement process
• Communicate interoperability and open standards
• Communicate program requirements and schedule
• Gain a better understanding of recent federal procurement developments (i.e. Buy Indian Act, etc.)
• Provide updates to small business indian firms on future Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service developments and acquisitions

Vendors will have the opportunity to submit questions in writing during the Industry Day that will be answered via FAQ at conclusion of the Industry Day.
