Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to acquire the Merative Micromedex Database to provide online web access to Micromedex, an evidence-based medication, toxicology, and patient education reference tool. The database will be used by the VA Heart of Texas Health Care Network (VISN17) to improve patient outcomes, reduce medication errors, and enhance disease management for veterans.

Work Details
The contract requires the provision of the Micromedex Premium Bundle with Merative Micromedex Custom Bundle. The contract period includes a base period and four option years subscription. The database must provide comprehensive medication information, dosing and therapeutic tools, drug identification, toxicology/poison control management, patient education materials, drug interactions tools, medication dosage and laboratory calculators, material safety data sheets, teratogenic medications database, and ability to search across all databases contained within the resource with one search term. The contractor is required to provide 24/7 desktop web access for VISN 17 in specified locations and offer customer service for troubleshooting website/connectivity issues. The product must meet specific salient characteristics outlined in the solicitation.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the contract includes a base period beginning on 03-25-2023 and ending on 03-24-2024, with four option years extending until 03-24-2028.

Place of Performance
The contractor remittance address for electronic reimbursement is required. Invoices shall be submitted quarterly upon delivery of items. The contractor shall provide online tutorials and on-site training as part of the deliverables.
