RM21‐1405 UM ‐ Repair SWWCAAS near Bravo Docks B1 & B2

Type: Forecast

Overview

Description
The existing 10 inch VCP line from sewer manholes (SMHs) D8 through D5 experiences oil/water infiltration through failed gaskets in the pipe joints and backwater conditions. Low wastewater velocities and flow through conditions at SY 008 causes solids, debris, and oil to build up in upstream manholes. The following scope of proposed work is provided: 1. Install approximately 1000 feet of 6 inch pressure HDPE pipe through existing 10 inch VCP. 2. Rehabilitate/replace SMHs D8, D7 and D6 and epoxy coat. 3. Reconfigure SMHs D8 and D7 for new pressure line connection. 4. Install transition SMH downstream of SY 008 to allow gravity flow to SMH D4. New pressure line and rehabilitation/repair of the existing manholes will eliminate the oil infiltration from the current sewers constructed within IRP plume.
