Requesting design and construction effort to expand the capacity of the existing SITE 3 WASTE WATER PIT Near Bldg. CNRSV-1711
Type: Forecast
Overview
Description
Requesting design and construction effort to expand the capacity of the existing Site 3 Waste Water Pit by sealing, lining, and converting an old concrete vault and providing connection piping between the two pits. This waste water system is part of the oil water separator system that ensures storm water drainage is not contaminated with oil.
Current facility waste water pit only has a capacity of 1k gallons of waste water which is insufficient during a heavy rain event. If not improved, the waste water system is at risk of being overcome by accumulated storm water and would overflow causing flooding, erosion, and violation of SPCC requirements.
The scope of work is to provide a liner or appropriate sealant in the existing underground tank convault (tank has already been removed) to ensure water tightness. design and install pump and piping system between the existing waste water pit and the converted convault to allow drainage to and pumping from either pit to the existing pipelines towards Polaris point. Check and repair damaged sections of the piping between lower Sasa Valley and Site 3 at Polaris point along Marine Drive at the bridges.
