Description
PROBLEM STATEMENT: Tower is past its service life, new tower should be compatible and sized with new chiller that was just installed.
LOCATION: B-3452 NEX @ BURKEY MALL
PROPOSED SOLUTION: Install new tower compatible with chiller.
JUSTIFICATION: Tower past its service life, and not compatible in size with recently installed chiller.
FUNDING SOURCE: CNIC / FY2020 Q4 / CONTRACTS

APM Comments: Suspect hazardous materials affected by this project must be tested prior to disturbance or handled as such. Contact the APM for further guidance if asbestos-containing materials or paint containing lead, cadmium or chromium will be disturbed as part of this project.
WH Comments: Contractors performing lifts of suspended loads by crane or other machine on Navy property are required to submit lift plans in advance of any lift taking place. A blank copy of the required lift plan will be provided to the contractor, please contact Scott Wright by e-mail at scott.j.wright@navy.mil, or by phone at 5395 x128 for more details.
EV Comments: Coordinate disposal of waste through EV. Water treatment chemicals must be compatible with our sanitary discharge permit, and be approved by EV. If refrigerants are managed, notify air Manager for potential Ozone Depleting Substance (ODS) management. For example, R22 refrigerant must be returned to
Shops and taking these materials off-site is prohibited. An "Appliance or Chiller" form must be completed for old chillers scheduled for disposal. Conduct NEPA review.
CRM Comments: No issues. Project does not affect historic property. (Provide NSGL CRM with project details - to verify any potential for ground disturbing activity - 01/16/20)
