NSN W-143 FLC REPLACE HVAC UNITS (1ST & 6TH FLOORS)
Type: Forecast
Overview
Description
Replace 19 HVAC units throughout the 1st & 6th floor FLCN administration spaces of building W143. This project will replace the existing 15-30 year old units with new units in the following room locations:
-1 -D607 = C200's Office, 2 -B100 = FLCN Gym HVAC, 3 -E613/E614 = ALL old Rice King HVACs (4 HVACs), 4 -B619 = C400 Transportation Office, 5 -B108 = C500 ILO Supervisor Office, 6 -C608 = PAO's HVAC, 7 -B629 = C00 Main FLC Security Office, 8 -E600 = NFMT's Offices & Admin HVACs (2 HVACs), 9 -E604 = NFMT's small galley , 10 -A601/A602 = Code 500 Director/Deputy Offices, 11 -A603 = C300 Augment Division, 12 -B616 = C200 Solomon Robinson's Office, 13 -F600, F601 and F602 = C200 PPMAPS (2 HVACs), 14 -C617 = Human Resources Office
These HVAC units are 15-30 years old and are becoming unreliable to cool and heat the administration spaces. This causes many employees to experience temperatures not conducive for working at a computer, which can impact their productivity and quality of work. This also lowers employee's morale in the workplace and can cause union issues. Heat exhaustion is also a concern when temperatures rise as high as the mid to upper 80's in the office spaces. Limited ability to cool the spaces with temporary A/C's really do not suffice for the length of time the units are down. New units will help support energy conservation, as the units will provide much more efficient operating capabilities that will help cut monthly electrical utility costs.
