(Design-IH) Replace/Rebuild Dock Levelers and Roll-Up Doors, SWS, B6403, SWFPAC (23988565) (DB-IH)

Requirement: Increase the size of the paved area south of the loading docks at the back of the SWS warehouse to aid in the maneuvering of the delivery vehicles. Replace the existing dock levelers with new Hydraulic levelers. *Customer provided SOW provided in the MSR folder. 1. General a. Complete the dock leveler replacement at a single loading dock at a time to minimize impact on building operations. b. Phase installation of the new asphalt across from the loading docks to minimize impact on building operations. 2. Demolish a. Remove 4 dock levelers, 2 at each loading dock, and all support infrastructure including anchoring, conduit, conductors, and breakers. b. Demolish the curb across from the loading dock. c. Move the fire hydrant and bollards from their current location to a new location outside of the area of the new pavement. i. Final location of the fire hydrant and required bollard to be approved by the Fire Marshall. 3. Construction a. Install 4 new hydraulic dock levelers, 2 at each loading dock and all supporting infrastructure including new conduit, conductors breakers, and anchoring. i. Update Panel Schedule b. Install new asphalt extending the area 32 feet across from the loading docks. The new area to run 300 feet parallel to the back of the SWS warehouse. The total new area will be 9,600ft sq. ft. i. Remove trees in the areas where the new asphalt will be installed. ii. Build up ground to support the new asphalt and install new base course per WSDOT standards. iii. Install new asphalt in accordance with WSDOT standards. iv. Install catch basins and ensure proper asphalt slope for drainage. v. Install new curb around the new asphalt and tie into existing curb, paint to match. vi. Repaint traffic lines and new loading doc ...
