(CUST) BALBOA - 1 INSTALL HHW SIDE STREAM FILTRATION

Work Type: CONTRACT Location: BALBOA-1 Scope of work: Install HHW Side Stream Filtration 1. Project Overview: The purpose of the Project is to install a filtration system for the Heating Hot Water system that provides service to Buildings 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. The filtration system will remove sediment and debris from the Heating Hot Water system that is resulting in clogged devices, which renders the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning system inoperable. 2. Scope of Work: 2.1 Demolition & Removal (if applicable): o Demolition of piping and valves to facilitate the installation of a filtration system. 2.2 Site Preparation: o Prepare location in Building 7 for the installation of a filtration system. 2.3 Construction/Repair: Electrical: Install wiring and conduit for power to filtration pumps. Install circuit breakers as necessary. HVAC: Install control and monitoring wiring and conduit for filtration pumps. Provide testing, balancing, and commissioning for filtration system. Plumbing: Install new filtration system for the Heating Hot Water system. Filtration system shall include pumps, controls, valves, filter assemblies, and piping. Ensure compliance with plumbing Codes and Standards. 2.4 Impacts to the Base o Plumbing outages and electrical outages shall be required. Appropriate mitigation is required. o Temporary traffic and pedestrian access impacts shall be required. Appropriate mitigation is required. L/A test: AC waiver: N/A Funding Type: CUST Priority 3
