BLDG 7122 - Galley Emergency Generator

Please provide emergency generators at the following key locations at NSGL. The generators will need to support the entire building load. The reason being that the facilities are no longer supported by the central stream plant and all utilities are required to support foodservice operations. This support deficiency needs to be corrected to provide critical infrastructure support needed to allow emergency feeding of the thousands for recruits and sailors onboard NSGL. This was identified as a single point of failure during a recent outage and again during emergency management reviews. The Foodservice Officer with the concurrence of the NSGL CO has selected the following locations as best feeding scenario for NSGL personnel in case an Emergency "Loss of Power". 1. Tri-Galley (7103, 7104, 7105) 2. Galley 7122 3. Galley 535 All options in a permanent installation of a generator should be explored, but tying into natural gas might work best if possible. In the event of a power failure, these locations currently have zero capacity to keep food supplies frozen or refrigerated.
